A team of accountants from Stubbs Parkin will put on their neon running gear next month to raise money for Community Link Foundation.

The Hoghton Street based team, made up of Helen, Alexandra, Becky, Claire and Lewis, will take part in the Obstacle Color Rush at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday July 15 to help fundraise for CLF.

The colleagues wanted to take part in an event that they could all do together and when they heard about the Obstacle Color Rush it sounded like the perfect event to combine fun with fundraising.

They are now collecting sponsorship money that will go towards the Community Link Foundation. They wanted to raise money for Community Link after hearing of the work they do in Southport and the surrounding areas.

Katharine Thompson, director at Stubbs Parkin, said: “My team has decided to do the Obstacle Rush as nothing quite says team building like doing the hurdles covered in paint. They are raising money for Community Link Foundation as with Stubbs Parkin being a local business we feel it important to support the surrounding community we are based in.”

While most of the team are prepared, some are more prepared than most with team leader Helen taking on the Total Warrior challenge very soon. They are looking forward to the event and raising as much money as they can for such a worthy cause.

Enda Rylands, chairman of Community Link Foundation said: “We are very grateful to the team at Stubbs Parkin for choosing to take part in this event for us. It sounds like it’s a going to be a really fun way to fundraise and we wish them the best of luck. We look forward to hearing how they do and seeing lots of colourful photos!”

Stubbs Parkin is a forward thinking, flexible accountancy firm based in central Southport. They provide advice and help to any business large or small. They understand the importance of strong relationships, sound advice, and a face-to-face chat.
